02. Having a sense of humor
sense of humor does not mean the party of clowns or become the court jester.
Nor is it synonymous with vulgarity. If you care to avoid double meanings trivial to use and learn in a fun way the information you have available, there will always be someone willing to talk with you. The irony, though subtle and full of innuendo, as well as evidence that you are intelligent, bright and intellectually prepared, will also be a tribute to the sensitivity and perception of those who listen. Indeed, the subtlety of the joke will be commensurate with the intellectual level of the person or persons to whom you speak.
Please note that even when the circumstances may seem to favor the use of scurrilous expressions do not let yourself be caught in a trap, be vulgar will not get you anywhere, you bet. The line of demarcation that separates the sense of humor vulgarity is very weak and tends to move toward one extreme or the other depending on the characteristics of your audience and the context where you are.
The more you approach to this line, the more it seems people with humor, but at the same time increase the risk of falling into vulgarity. So, since you can never be sure of where exactly the boundary line, you better keep a safe distance and avoid crossing it. It's much better to be less fun than you - but be sure to preserve your image and continue to deserve the respect of those who will listen - that push to the limit, attitude which in theory could be more successful, but for a simple error in calculation, could make your image extremely vulgar.
